For improved ride and comfort all 8RT Series Track Tractors are equipped with an AirCushion suspension system. This AirCushion suspension system isolates the chassis from harsh inputs due to uneven terrain. The entire system is fully automatic and requires no operator adjustment. This system also allows the vehicle to travel much faster over rough terrain while maintaining operator comfort. The suspension system consists of a walking beam that pivots on a swing arm. The track pivots on the axle, between the inner and outer drive wheels. This also allows for simple tread spacing adjustment because the tracks do not need to be de-tensioned for adjustment. Tracks are free to oscillate and move in parallel to absorb the shocks and jolts of rough terrain.
