Under no control of John Deere Company, Inmarsat, who provides satellite bandwidth to broadcast StarFire differential corrections, will be migrating frequencies on all six of their satellites. This frequency change will affect John Deere StarFire receivers as well as competitive GPS equipment.
In order to compensate for these changes the frequency the StarFire receiver uses to acquire the StarFire correction signal will need to be changed. The change will take effect March 23, 2012. If you do not take the action steps attached to this post, your StarFire receiver will not be able to pick up signal after March 23rd!!
If you have questions call please call your nearest Koenig location. For Anna & Urbana locations, ask for Kurtis Shipp. For Greenville & Oxford locations, ask for Brad Guckian.
