The result of this collaboration is the John Deere Tech Program, or the JD Tech Program, which provides real-world experience along with great career-building opportunities.
What is the John Deere Tech Program?
The John Deere Tech Program is designed to train and employ the industry’s best technicians. This opportunity is open for students attending Owens Community College or Vincennes University for a two-year associate’s degree. Students accepted into this program will be sponsored by an authorized John Deere dealer, like Koenig Equipment, and will participate in a paid training-related employment during the work experience component.
Students will receive a state-of-the-art technical education through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory instruction, and supervised occupational work experience at Koenig Equipment. JD Tech students will learn how to provide parts solutions as well as troubleshoot, service, repair, and rebuild the latest John Deere equipment.
Graduates of the JD Tech program will be proficient with:

How Can I Apply for the John Deere Tech Program with Koenig Equipment?
To apply for the JD Tech Program through Koenig Equipment, students must first be attending either Owens Community College or Vincennes University for an Associate of Applied Science. After acceptance into the college, students will then apply for the John Deere Program according to the college requirements.
From there, students need to apply for sponsorship from Koenig Equipment, which can be done by submitting the Intern/Student application found on our careers page!
