One Tractor, Many Jobs

A compact utility tractor earns its keep through attachments. Add a front loader to move mulch, gravel and snow, an AutoConnect mid-mount mower deck to mow, and three-point implements to till, grade and clear brush.

Rear lift capacity, measured 24 inches behind the link arms, grows with each series: 758 lb on the 1 Series, 1,356 lb on the 2032R, 2038R and 3E models, 2,194 lb on the 3R models and 2,500 lb or more on the 4 Series, topping out at 2,709 lb on the 4075R. Our team can help you match the tractor to the attachments you plan to run.

John Deere Compact Tractor FAQs

What is the difference between a sub-compact and a compact tractor?
The 1 Series is John Deere's sub-compact tractor, with a smaller frame for tight spaces and lighter work. The 1025R and 2025R share the same 23.9 HP gross engine power, but the 2025R has a longer wheelbase (63 in. vs 57.1 in.) and more rear lift (915 lb vs 758 lb).

How much horsepower do I need?
Let the attachments decide. Mowing, light loader work and snow clearing on smaller properties suit the 1 and 2 Series, while bigger three-point implements and heavier loader work call for the 3, 4 or 5 Series. Our team can help you size the tractor to your property and implements.

How much does a John Deere compact tractor cost?
Price depends on the series, model and attachments. Each model page shows our current price or a quote option, and our compact tractor packages pair a tractor with the attachments you use most.

What warranty comes with a John Deere compact tractor?
1 through 4 Series tractors carry 2 years of coverage, with powertrain coverage for 6 years or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first. 5E utility tractors carry 2 years or 2,000 hours, with powertrain coverage for 5 years or 2,000 hours.
