Koenig Equipment Completes Acquisition of Smith Implements


Koenig Equipment, Inc. completed its acquisition of Smith Implements, Inc., effective October 31, 2017.  With the six additional locations, Koenig Equipment now owns and operates 13 John Deere dealership facilities serving agricultural, commercial, governmental and residential customers in 42 counties across Ohio and Indiana.

Koenig Equipment, Inc., is acquiring the assets and operations of Smith Implements, Inc. With the addition of Smith locations in Bloomington, Franklin, Greenfield, Greensburg, Richmond and Rushville, Indiana, Koenig Equipment will have 13 dealership facilities serving agricultural, commercial and residential customers in southwestern Ohio and southeastern Indiana. 

Introducing the 2018 John Deere S770 Combine


Koenig Equipment proudly announces the arrival of the brand new 2018 John Deere S770 Combine at the Anna, Ohio location.  The Koenig team is excited to demonstrate the newest S-Series model, recently unveiled to the public by John Deere. 

Watch the area's first S770 combine up close, beginning with its arrival at Koenig on June 21st, progression through the detailed setup process beginning June 22nd, and advancement to local farmers' fields starting June 26th for hands-on demonstrations through wheat harvest and beyond.

Craig Persinger Certified as Stihl Silver Service Technician


Congratulations to Craig Persinger of the Oxford location for achieving Stihl Silver Service Technician certification.  This rank is awarded to technicians who have successfully completed a training curriculum consisting of 9 web-based classes covering all aspects of the Stihl product line.  Additionally, trainees are required to attend a 16-hour, hands-on course encompassing diagnostics, repair, and testing of Stihl products.  Craig is pictured below with Oxford Service Manager, Chris Thoma.

Chris Sword Earns Master Technician Certification


Congratulations to Chris Sword of the Germantown location for achieving John Deere Master Technician certification.

Representing the highest level of service training, Master Technician certification requires completion of instructor led classes and online remote training, totaling 225 training hours. Core training requirements include electrical systems, hydraulic systems and the Service Advisor laptop application, supplemented with additional classes in Selling and Marketing, Resource Utilization, and Product Applications.  

Wyatt Roberts Certified As Advanced Technician


Congratulations to Wyatt Roberts of the Anna location for achieving John Deere Advanced Technician certification.  Wyatt is pictured below with Service Manager, Chad Huelskamp.  

Certification at the Advanced level requires completing 150 total training hours, with a combination of online remote training and instructor led classes. Supplemental classes enhance the core training requirements of electrical systems, hydraulic systems and the Service Advisor laptop application.

Area Farmers Prepare for Spring Planting


Over 40 local producers attended the annual Planter Optimization Clinic hosted by Koenig Equipment in Anna on February 22, emphasizing equipment mechanization to prepare for a successful 2017 spring planting season.

Group presentations were led by Koenig employees Kurtis Shipp, Matt Koverman, Doug Bensman and Chad Huelskamp. Customers also had the opportunity for hands-on learning with equipment walk-arounds, and enjoyed lunch following the clinic.

A special thanks to all for attending and contributing to this year's event success.   

Roger Cross Celebrates Retirement


Following a 43-year career in the machinery parts field, Roger Cross has retired from Koenig Equipment, Oxford Parts department. Customers and co-workers celebrated Roger's retirement with an Open House on January 31, followed by an employee dinner that evening honoring Roger and his wife, Terry.
