Gary Shick Honored as 2018 Master Farmer

Koenig Equipment is pleased to recognize and congratulate Gary Shick of Kenton, Ohio for receiving the prestigious honor of 2018 Master Farmer.  Gary was presented his award today at the Conservation Tillage & Technoloy Conference at Ohio Northern University.

Agricultural Power Diagnostic Competition

On Friday, February 16, the District 5 Agricultural Power Diagnostic Competition took place at Miami Valley Career Technology Center in Clayton, OH, where many teams from across the region competed for a chance to advance to the state competition.  Teams were scored on their overall safety procedures of personal protective equipment and in safety of starting and operating equipment.  The teams were then judged on their efficiencies and abilities in locating and repairing two separate problems with the tractor.

FFA Tractor Troubleshooting Practice Hosted by Koenig

Koenig Equipment's Service department at Oxford recently hosted tractor troubleshooting practice for Talawanda's FFA Chapter.  Service Techs Ryan Cumberledge and Kevin Schwab organized the event by placing "bugs" in two late model John Deere tractors, helping to prepare the team of Alex Herman and Michael Schwab for the District troubleshooting competition.    

Koenig is honored to support local FFA Chapter activities, and wishes all troubleshooting teams best of luck at upcoming events!  

Koenig Hosts FFA Agricultural Power Diagnostics

Koenig Equipment Greenville hosted the 2018 County Judging of the FFA Agricultural Power Diagnostics CDE (Career Development Event) on February 6, 2018. This program helps to strengthen the skills required to diagnose and repair equipment issues, ranging from lawn and garden equipment to agricultural tractors. Eleven teams from Versailles, Ansonia, Mississinawa Valley, Greenville and Franklin Monroe participated in the competition.
